Prioritizing Communication Development
At Wonder Words Therapy, we understand the critical role communication plays in a child's overall development. Wonder Steps prioritizes communication goals by:
Conducting comprehensive speech and language assessments: We identify your child's unique strengths and areas for growth.
Providing daily one-on-one speech therapy sessions: Our experienced therapists use engaging activities and evidence-based techniques to target specific communication needs.
Integrating communication goals into all aspects of the program: From occupational therapy to play-based learning, we create opportunities for your child to practice and generalize their communication skills.
Routine-based approach: We mirror your child’s daily routine, integrating language therapy into every activity, helping them seamlessly apply new skills in their everyday life.
Our Neurodiversity-Affirming Approach
We celebrate neurodiversity and believe in fostering a supportive environment where every child feels accepted and valued. Our approach focuses on:
Understanding your child's unique strengths and needs: We tailor our intervention to individual learning styles, special interests and preferences.
Building confidence and self-advocacy: We empower children to understand and embrace their differences.
Promoting social inclusion: We equip children with the skills and confidence to navigate social situations in group settings.
